Ali Abunimah Betrays His Antisemitism Yet Again

Last week, I posted about congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s online interview with with Michael Miller, head of the Jewish Community Relations Council of New York. While pointing to her applauding Israeli technology dealing with water scarcity, I warned not to get too carried away, in light of her other comments on the conflict, which betrayed that her views are still very misguided.

Since then, antisemite “Abumination” Ali Abunimah has condemned Ocasio-Cortez for her comments and, believe it or not, it were her comments on the conflict – which still seemed to primarily blame the impasse on Israeli “settlements” – that rankled him and other haters the most.

Ocasio-Cortez’s vacuous word salad of an answer – which completely failed to address Israel’s violence against Palestinians or call for accountability – went viral, with thousands of responses and retweets mocking it.

.

This is very revealing as to the mindset of Abumination and other haters, which views even recognizing Israel as a terrible thing.

Even more revealing is Abuminah’s description of the Jewish Community Relations Council (JCRC):

On 1 April, Ocasio-Cortez did an online event with the Jewish Community Relations Council of New York, her first meeting with the Israel lobby group.

The JRCR is the pro-active central coordinating and resource organization for the Jewish community in the eight county metropolitan New York area. It is a Jewish group, not an Israel lobby group. The issue of Israel is just one of many issue they raise with politicians, which affect the Jewish community.

By labeling them an “Israel lobby group”, Abunimah is betraying his antisemitism once again. He essentially sees all Jews fighting for their rights as “Zionists”, allowing him to rip them under the guise of “anti-Zionism.”
