Hulk Artist Joe Bennett Removed From Marvel Project Over His Antisemitism

Last week, I posted how Marvel comic artist Joe Bennett was embroiled in a new antisemitism scandal, involving an antisemitic cartoon he posted back in 2017. This followed an antisemitic cartoon panel he created earlier this year, which he claimed was just an unfortunate mistake.

I am glad to report that he’s been removed from the Marvel project on which he was working, and likely won’t be working for them again.

Artist Joe Bennett (Immortal Hulk) is no longer working on Marvel’s Timeless one-shot after posting an anti-Semitic image on social media.

CBR has confirmed Joe Bennett is no longer a part of the Timeless creative team, and is not on any future Marvel projects. Bennett’s Immortal Hulk collaborator Al Ewing publicly severed his relationship with the artist last week after becoming aware of the image, which Ewing called “reprehensible.”

Maybe now he can be like The Hulk, breaking free of the shackles that were keeping him down, and work with fellow antisemite and cartoonist Carlos Latuff.
