Oxfam is responsible for this new piece of propaganda:
Ahmad's born in 2008, 1 year after the Israeli imposed blockade on the Gaza Strip came into effect.

“I’m passionate about astronomy, I want to be able to study, but I can’t buy books or a telescope online, & even if I could, they would probably never get through,” #OpenUpGaza15 pic.twitter.com/iemfaqWJjj
I understand young Ahmad might find telescope hard to come by; they are defined as “dual-use items” requiring special permission from Israel to be brought in to Gaza, because while they have an inherent civilian use, they can also be used for military purposes. But he could probably ask Al Aqsa University’s Center of Astronomy and Space Sciences Research to use on of theirs. Or ask one of his fellow Gaza-based astronomy enthusiasts. Why didn’t he? I don’t know (actually I have a pretty good idea!)
As for astronomy books, I call BS – people can order books online and have them sent to Gaza. And Gaza does have its own book shops and libraries.
Based on young Ahmad’s acting skills, I’d say he has a better chance of reaching the stars than becoming one. Who actually believes him when he exclaims “Why? I don’t know.”
Let’s also address the elephant in the room. Ahmad’s house looks very nice, as does his state-of-the-art computer. So thank you Oxfam for further showing the idea of “concentration camp” Gaza to be a malicious lie.
