American comedian and political commentator Bill Maher – who is by no means politically conservative – is a staunch supporter of Israel as I have posted in the past.
He recently interviewed former Israeli PM Binyamin Netanyahu about the rising antisemitism we are seeing. But more interesting to me than Netanyahu’s answers – which were to be expected both in terms of content and level of articulateness – were Maher’s questions, which show just how common sense he is on this issue; he understands there is plenty of antisemitism on the Left coming from those who pretend to just “criticize” Israel.
Because Bill Maher identifies as a “liberal”, his voice is so important in dispelling the libels against the Jewish state because he can reach those who are being steadily brainwashed to hate Israel.
