An Anti-Israel Propaganda “Own Goal” at FIFA World Cup

Remember how a few days ago, anti-Israel propagandists were lauding “social media influencer” Natalia Barulich for displaying the ‘Palestinian’ flag at the FIFA World Cup – only for it to be someone else entirely?

It looks like the propagandists have a real thing for “social media influencers”, with one called Farrah Matalka getting their props for doing a similar thing.

Except, yet again, the haters are making things up.

Here is a look at the original photo on Farrah Matalka’s Instagram:

No mention of “Palestine” should be the first hint this is not as they claim.

The second hint is a closer look at the flag.

The white star surrounded by red indicates it is the Jordanian flag (top), not the Palestinian one (bottom).

palestine vs jordan flags

Which makes sense, given Farrah is Jordanian.

The flags look similar because they both drew their inspiration from the Arab Revolt against Ottoman rule.

This isn’t even the first time haters have mistaken the two flags. Which is further proof as to how ignorant they are.
