Friday night’s barbaric terror attack outside a synagogue in Jerusalem was supposedly in response to last week’s IDF raid in Jenin, which was aiming to capture a Palestinian Islamic Jihad cell planning another imminent attack.
In a statement, the Israel Defense Forces said troops entered the Jenin refugee camp to foil imminent attack plans by a local wing of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad terror group.
“This squad was a ticking time bomb. If we didn’t act, they would have,” a senior IDF officer told reporters.
“During an attempt to arrest them, the wanted men opened fire and were killed in an exchange of fire with our forces,” the IDF said. Three members of the PIJ cell were killed and a fourth was arrested, according to the military.
“The wanted men, PIJ operatives, have been involved in recent extensive terror activity, and are suspected of carrying out several shooting attacks against IDF forces, and planning other significant attacks,” it said.
There was fierce fighting around civilians
and of the nine palestinian Arab casualties, at least 5 were terrorists.
In other words, palestinian Arab terrorists planning to murder Jews were thwarted by the IDF raid in Jenin, which in turn has been used as an excuse to actually murder Jews.
What always comes first is the desire and planning to murder Jews. The IDF only acts to prevent this. If there weren’t terrorists in Jenin attempting terror attacks, the IDF would not have raided it.
There is clearly no equivalence between the palestinian Arabs killed in Jenin and the Jews killed in Jerusalem. Those killed in Jenin were either terrorists or innocent people caught up near the fighting and not deliberately killed by the IDF. All the Jewish civilians killed in Jerusalem were deliberately targeted for death.
And let’s not forget something else. Despite the fact most of those killed in Jenin were terrorists, Jews were not out celebrating and handing out sweets on the street. Yet we all know how way too many palestinian Arabs reacted after the Friday night bloodbath.
There is no equivalence.
None of this is rocket science. Yet try telling that to the likes of Rashida Tlaib, who equated the two (on her Congresswoman Twitter account, after condemning Israel for murder on her private one):
As bad as this was, the reaction of others like Wokey Horror Susan Sarandon, was even worse. She condemned the Israeli raid on Jenin, calling it the “murder of nine people” – despite the fact mostly terrorists were killed, and the non-combatants killed were not deliberately targeted:
yet has had nothing to say about the murder of 7 Jewish civilians in Jerusalem. This is not even equating the two; it is calling the IDF raid was murder and the terror attack …ho hum.
These haters actually embolden the terrorists to continue their murderous ways. There is real blood on their hands.
