In the wake of writer Polly Samson and her husband, Pink Floyd’s David Gilmour, calling Roger Waters “antisemitic to [his] core”, I am learning more about Waters’ alleged offline antisemitism.
Reader Guy has drawn my attention to an episode of the podcast Office Hours Live with Tim Heidecker, in which Tim – a comedian, actor and musician – says he has spoken to people who have played with Waters, and who tell him the rocker has been “openly antisemitic” around people.
Heidecker himself reveals he is a huge fan of Waters’ music, and loves a lot of what Waters has to say, including on Israel. Tim’s Jewish podcast member even (pathetically) says Israel is an apartheid state and “f*ck Israel”, so we know Tim is not just throwing the antisemite libel at Waters because he dislikes him or loves Israel.
