Middle East Eye Attacks ‘Jewish Matchmaking’ as Israeli Propaganda

There’s a new dating show on Netflix called Jewish Matchmaking, which follows Jewish singles in the US and Israel as they turn their dating life over to a top Jewish matchmaker.

For some (like me), the show was a bit cringey, with some of the singles (in particular one guy) having delusions of grandeur. But for anti-Israel propaganda site Middle East Eye, the show is – wait for it – Israeli propaganda!

Who wants to break the news to her that the reason Israel features prevalently in the show is because Israel is very important to the vast majority of Jews in the world? And that there are heaps of Jewish singles living in the Jewish state?

(Oh and by the way, the Israeli guy living in the US does not come across well at all. Just saying).

Jewish Matchmaking is not Israeli propaganda. It is an authentic look at what is important to many Jewish singles.

Instead of attacking the show, perhaps Middle East Eye and others should take the time to understand the reality that Israel and Judaism are intertwined. And us Jews and the Jewish state are here to stay, whether they like it or not.
