Yesterday, I posted about Irish PM Leo Varadkar’s insulting tweet following the return of young Israeli-Irish hostage Emily Hand. Following the criticism he received, he released a more comprehensive statement:

But notice what is still missing from it – any mention of Hamas.
Meanwhile, having Irish MMA legend Conor McGregor rip into him while calling Hamas an “evil terrorist organization” was not on my 2023 Bingo card:
This was especially surprising to me, given his previous tweet on this conflict, although not anti-Israel, was in response to devastation in Gaza.
Either way, I’ll take it.
