We already knew just what a heroine Yaffa Adar, the little old lady captured by Hamas, who we thought was demented but was actually just determined to not let them see her broken, is.
And it seems Italian tenor Andrea Bocelli does too. After hearing that Yaffa kept herself sane by humming his songs while in Hamas captivity, he wrote her a personal letter on her release.

Yaffa is simply delightful and Andrea Bocelli is a huge mensch.
