Nasser Mashni’s Latest Outrageous Performance

Hardly a day seems to go by without the ‘face’ of Australian palestinian Arabs, APAN president Nasser Mashni, engaging in shameless public lying and terror support.

Yesterday, he uploaded to Instagram a video of himself bemoaning the fact he was again asked to condemn Hamas when he appeared on Sky News, followed by the interview itself.

Let’s break this down.

Mashni begins by claiming Israel has killed 50,000 Gazans since October 7, an outrageous lie. Even the Hamas-run Gaza Health Ministry – whose casualty statistics are clearly grossly inflated even by their own admission – puts the number at 33,545. Which means Mashni has inflated the number by over 50% from an already grossly inflated number. And let’s not forget that he is lumping in actual terrorists in his number.

Not that he considers these barbarians who murdered, raped and kidnapped innocent people to be terrorists. Mashni is clearly fed up being asked to condemn them and – yet again – seems to imply that he supports their “resistance.” Following his statements “Palestinians won’t ever give up their right to resist. Palestinians will never stop resisting their occupiers” with “Palestine will be free from the river to the sea” shows that although he claims that latter phrase means Jews and palestinian Arabs living peacefully together, he is either lying about this or completely deluded. Because we all know what would happen if Hamas et al. are given free rein.

As for the Sky News interview itself, Mashni shows incredible chutzpah to claim Israel was founded by terrorist groups, while considering Hamas – who deliberately target civilians – as mere “resistance.”

Mashni claims UN Resolution 181 (the Partition Plan) “allowed for the cutting up of [his] parents, [his homeland]..” Yet Mashni has been on record describing how his mother is from Lebanon.

He also mentions the “indigenous Jews of Palestine” paying for the crimes of the Holocaust when Israel was established – as if the vast majority of Jews who were living in the land prior to 1948 are not ecstatic that they could now live under the rule of their fellow Jews and enjoy all the freedoms this entails. Prior to this, they were massacred by the Arabs here and had little freedom of religion.

Mashni’s assertion that Israel has controlled Gaza since 1967 is another whopper. Leaving aside the fact we unilaterally withdrew from there in 2005, if we truly controlled Gaza, how is Hamas governing there, and firing missiles into Israel? How is there an intricate terror tunnel system under Gaza if Israel has controlled it all these years? Restricting the flow into Gaza of potential dual-use materials since Hamas began firing rockets into Israel and building their terror tunnels after our unilateral withdrawal is not the same as “controlling” Gaza.

And how about when he states that Netanyahu was allowing cash transfers to Hamas before October 7? If Netanyahu didn’t, you can be sure Mashni would let the world know about it as evidence of further “Zionist crimes”!

While I appreciate Sky News Australia, I just wish the interviewer would have called Mashni out on all of this.

Meanwhile, at a recent anti-Israel rally, Mashni was introduced by his friend Mohammad Sharab, who was recently charged with kidnapping, false imprisonment, armed robbery, threats to kill, intentionally cause injury, recklessly cause injury, unlawful assault and assault with weapon.

Not that this should surprise anyone. They have much in common.
