Meet Mohamed Mohideen:

The President of the Islamic Council of Victoria, Mohamed is also a Multicultural Commissioner on the Victorian Multicultural Commission, whose role is to “bring Victorians together to celebrate and preserve our diverse cultures, and to promote inclusion and belonging.”
Mohamed ha a number of awards for his multifaith work, including an Order of Australia Medal, the 2015 Sir John Monash Multicultural Champion, the 2016 Victorian Premier’s Volunteer Champion Award for Leadership, and the 2018 Sir John Monash Volunteer of the Year.

You’d expect someone in his position “recognised for their skills and lived experience championing cultural and religious diversity across Victoria” to be a fierce opponent of hate against the Jewish community. And true, he did condemn the recent attack on the Melbourne synagogue:

But don’t be fooled.
On LinkedIn, we get a different picture of the man. A man who right after this synagogue attack and attack on an Israeli-owned restaurant, posted the below, which can only serve to inflame antisemitism in Australia: “People asked the question why one section of the community got special treatment while leaving the others behind.”

A man who accuses us of a non-existent genocide and of “manipulating the term antisemitism” to silence people, while himself manipulating the recent Federal court ruling to suggest that “anti-Zionism is not antisemitism” (which seems to be a boilerplate among the Israel-hating crowd):

A man who agrees with Bo Vylan of “Death to the IDF” infamy, and who clearly promotes violence:

A man who stands with infamous antisemite Francesca Albanese:

and who amplifies others like David Miller:

A man who amplifies the antisemitic comparison of us to the Nazis:

A man who invokes the medieval blood libel of us as baby killers:

A man who alleges Hamas did not commit many of the atrocities they did, including murdering women and children and torturing hostages:

while also spreading a fake casualty figure (the Lancet never claimed that 186,000 Gazans have already been killed; it was an illustrative projection of what could be in years, based on a rough multiplier and on uncertain baseline data)
A man who spreads other debunked blood libels:

A man who criticizes a rally against terrorism while defending the genocidal Iranian regime:

This is a man who has no business serving on the Victorian Multicultural Commission, nor a worthy recipient of awards like the Order of Australia Medal, and the Sir John Monash Multicultural Champion.
Please join me in contacting the Victorian government to let them know, and share this post far and wide.
