In my post on Australia severing diplomatic ties with Iran after they orchestrated two arson attacks on Jewish institutions last year, I mentioned how Nasser Mashni was silent. My mentioning this was not so much an expression of surprise as calling him out for his faux “condemnation” of at least one of the attacks not long after it happened.
Mashni has since commented – well, at least his APAN organization has. Kind of.
Nope, they have not welcomed the decision to expel the Iranian ambassador, nor even mentioned it. Rather, they have called on the Australian government to sanction Israel and expel the Israeli ambassador.
As mentioned, APAN is Mashni’s organization and in the comments, he has ‘loved’ the post:

Make no mistake about it. Posting a call to expel the Israeli ambassador the very same day Australia announced its decision to expel the Iranian ambassador was deliberate. And vile. Granted, he was never going to condemn Iran who he clearly supports. But not even a faux word of support for his so-called “Jewish brothers and sisters”?
Much like with his fellow antisemite Mohamed Hadid, the mask is well and truly off.
The same goes for Bob Carr, the former Australian Foreign Minister and former Premier of NSW, who was also silent following the Iranian ambassador’s announced expulsion.
Carr has since commented in support of the expulsion, with a dose of “hey, I expelled a Syrian diplomat back in the day!”

Remember, this is the same Bob Carr who recently “exposed Israel” as interfering in Australia. Not Iran.
Not that he is ever likely to.
Got anything to say @bobjcarr?! https://t.co/VkSaghlH6B
