FACT CHECK: Did the IDF Transport Palestinian Arabs in a Garbage Truck?

Israel-haters have been spreading a video, alleging it shows the IDF transporting palestinian Arabs in a smelly garbage truck. Supposedly for shits’n’giggles, because we are evil.

The claim by this “journalist” has gone around the world, being shared well over half a million times already on X alone. Even Game of Thrones actor Liam Cunningham (or as I prefer to call him, Liam Dumbpig) got in on the act:

Naturally, it is, ehh, rubbish. A simple Google search of “palestinians garbage truck” reveals the truth.

Police from the Ariel station in the West Bank stopped a garbage truck on Route 5 and were surprised to find more than 60 Palestinian illegal entrants inside it. The driver, a man in his 30s from Kafr Qassem, was arrested.

Footage from the scene shows the Palestinians packed tightly inside the truck, piled one on top of another in severe crowding. Within minutes of their discovery, officers removed them one by one as trash fell from the vehicle.

According to police, “A garbage truck driver transported dozens of Palestinian illegal entrants, who were placed inside the refuse compactor. The Palestinians were on their way to various cities inside the country, but a joint operation by officers from the Judea and Samaria District and Border Police operating around Jerusalem thwarted the driver’s plan, and he was arrested.”

Police emphasized that the driver does not have a license to operate this type of vehicle. He and the Palestinians were taken in for questioning. “This is a foul story of the devaluation of human life,” police said.

In other words, a fellow palestinian Arab packed them in the truck, and he did so so they could enter Israel illegally – supposedly to work.

Even this anti-Israel website reported on it, but still managed to blame it on Israel:

Israeli occupation forces have detained 68 Palestinians workers at the Cross-Samaria Checkpoint, from the occupied West Bank, after they were found hiding inside a garbage truck near an Israeli military roadblock while attempting to reach their workplace in Israel. The workers were compelled to opt for this dangerous and degrading method of transportation after the Israeli occupation forces did not allow them to return to work, as the West Bank is pushed towards economic collapse.

For the record, Israel allows workers in, but only those with permits after background checks have been made. Because many palestinian Arabs have a terrible habit of trying to commit terror attacks.

Liam Cunningham’s tweet now has a community note attached to it, reminding people how little he cares for the truth.

Liam Cunningham is a great actor; he did play a man of honor on Game of Thrones after all. But in real life, his performance as a “concerned human rights advocate” is his least convincing role yet.

And there you have it: another lie travels halfway around the world before the truth has even laced up its boots. And the so-called “human rights activists” ignore the palestinian Arab driver who put his own people in a compactor. Because they don’t care about the safety of palestinian Arabs; they only care about the opportunity to demonize Jews.
