The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) has awarded Ben Cohen, co-founder of Ben and Jerry’s, with its Champion of Justice award for “standing up against abuses by the powerful, whether by our own government or by global corporations… including his advocacy for the rights of Palestinians facing genocide in Gaza.”

It doesn’t get much more ‘as-a-Jewy’ than receiving an award from an organization allegedly associated with the Muslim Brotherhood’s U.S. Palestine Committee – established to support Hamas – on Rosh Hashana. Then again, I suspect this would be Ben Cohen’s reaction to one of the holiest days in the Jewish calendar:

Skipping shul on Rosh Hashana to accept this award would probably convince even Zahra Billoo – CAIR bigwig and one of the featured speakers at the conference – that Ben Cohen is the right kind of Jew.
And that is saying a lot, given her rather expansive definition of who counts as “the enemy.”
As long as she doesn’t find out about this.
