Hours after US President Barack Obama delivered a eulogy for Shimon Peres that many felt was too preachy and patronizing, the White House figuratively spit on his grave.
The transcript of Obama’s eulogy of Peres, who was buried on Mount Herzl in Jerusalem, originally listed the ceremony was held in Jerusalem, Israel. Six hours later, the White House sent out a corrected version of the transcript with Israel explicitly crossed out of the header.
Disgraceful.
This has already been widely reported. Perhaps less widely reported was the press release before the funeral.
Notice anything?
They wrote the location of the funeral as being in “Tel Aviv, Israel,” instead of Jerusalem.
Sorry, but I’d like to see a further correction issued.
