Anti-Israel DouchebloggerTM Richard Silverstein is a lot of things: a bigot, pathological Israel hater, ignorant, dishonest, and a failure among other things. But I never actually thought he was an antisemite – he is (as far as I know) Jewish after all, although ignorant about Judaism and very hostile towards observant Jews.
But now I am beginning to think he may very well be antisemitic, after he tweeted the following:
He is, of course, alluding to the blood libel – the accusation that Jews kidnapped and murdered the children of Christians in order to use their blood as part of their religious rituals during Jewish holidays.
Is he being sarcastic? It sure as hell does not sound like it – he seems to really believe Putin has assassinated his rivals, after all. At best, he is making light of something that has resulted in pogroms and the deaths of tens of thousands of Jews.
Ah yes, Silverstein. He either perpetuates blood libels or accuses me of inventing them.
Whether or not Silverstein is an antisemite is a matter of conjecture. What is not is the fact that he associates with proven antisemites. Case in point: he is going to be speaking at an Israel hatefest, alongside Hatem Bazian, a proven Jew hater.
This is, of course, not the first time Silverstein has colluded with antisemites.
Richard Silverstein represents the worst of Jews – those who spread hate and evil in the world.
