Israel is constantly blamed for the plight of the palestinian refugees, even though many were caused by the Arab leaders themselves. And not enough people question why there are still UNRWA refugee camps 68 years later.
As I have regularly stated, these refugees are used as a tool by the Arab nations against Israel, who prefer them to fester in the camps instead of absorbing them like Israel has absorbed Jews from all around the world.
Back in 1957, the New York Times said pretty much the same thing.
