BDS Fail! Santana Never Boycotted Israel, Set To Perform Here

Ever since he cancelled his 2010 performance in Israel, BDS holes have claimed musician Santana as one of their own.

Yeah, about that.

santanaJUST IN: We have confirmed that Carlos Santana will perform in Tel Aviv on July 30 after canceling his 2010 performance in Israel with many claiming BDS pressure as the reason. Santana’s management clarifies in the statement below, that this was clearly not the case.

“Santana had scheduled date to perform in Israel in 2010. Due to circumstances beyond our control, we had to cancel that date along with others that we had planned to play. This was in no way cancelled because of any pressure we received from any anti-Israeli organization or any other organization for that matter. Carlos Santana is a citizen of the World and he plays his music and spreads his message of Love, Light & Peace wherever he goes. Carlos believes the World should have no borders so he is not detoured or discouraged to play anywhere on this planet. We look forward to performing in Israel this summer.” Michael Vrionis, President, Universal Tone Management

And sure enough, the concert already appears on the official Santana website, with tickets already on sale.

Not everything’s coming our way, but almost every performer is these days.

  1. The Pixies did play in Israel. Their former bass player (some woman whose name I don’t recall) was largely responsible for cancelling the scheduled performance.

  2. So glad to hear this. I’ve been a fan since Abraxas, long ago, when I was a tween growing up on Long Island! Maybe I’ll fly over for the show….

Outstanding! Is he taking dedications? Because I want to dedicate a song to Abu Mazen: You’ve got to change your evil ways .
