BDS-Holes Proclaim Victory As Natalie Imbruglia Cancels Israel Concert (Updated)

After immense pressure from BDS-holes following the announcement of a March 1st concert in Tel Aviv, Australian singer Natalie Imbruglia has seemingly cancelled her gig.

I say seemingly because although she has made no announcement, it has been removed from a list of upcoming concerts on her website.

As well as elsewhere.

And BDS-holes are proclaiming victory.

While I call on Natalie or her team to explain the cancellation before accepting as fact this was BDS-initiated, there is no doubt she came under immense pressure – as do all artists intending to perform here.

Although this is disappointing, Israel is primed for many high-profile acts this year, including:

Fatboy Slim – March 12

Jean Michel Jarre – April 6

Radiohead – July 19

Pixies – July 25

Justin Bieber – May 3

Aerosmith – May 17

Paul Young – May 21

Rod Stewart – June 14

Guns N Roses – July 15

Robbie Williams – September 16

Nick Cave – November 19-20

So there’s that.

Update: The official statement from the promoter’s PR firm is that the cancellation is because of logistical problems and Imbruglia said she’s sorry to disappoint her fans (hat tip: David Brinn).

Update: According to Walla, it was poor ticket sales. And Imbruglia apologized for the cancellation and promised to perform here in future.
