Following his dissemination of a debunked blood libel against Israel, Labour MP Grahame Morris has finally deleted it and tweeted an apology – almost a day after first posting the libel, and at least 16 hours after finding out it was untrue.
One can only guess who these “sources” will be; I’m guessing antisemites and general Israel-hating scum and villainy.
Was this a genuine apology? I’d posit it is not – unless being sorry you got caught and had your vile lies published all over (including in The Sun and The Daily Mail) counts.
Remember, instead of deleting the lie immediately, Morris doubled-down:
Also, I do not see him now condemning the Guatemalan army. Because, not the Jews.
Meanwhile, this website reports he “has been reported to both Labour HQ and party chief whip, Nick Brown. A party spokesperson said he had apologised.”
Will the Labour party act against this latest example of antisemitism? I won’t be holding my breath.
