As part of their attempts to lend credence to the claim they are a Jewish organization, Jewish Voice for Peace (JVP) have organized something called Radical Shabbat. It is basically an excuse to co-opt yet another Jewish practice to spread hatred of the world’s only Jewish state.
The next Radical Shabbat is scheduled for the end of this month, on the topic of Israel’s supposed “pinkwashing.” Here is one of the fliers for this event (via Reddit):
The entire concept of “pinkwashing” – or any “washing” for that matter – is predicated on the ridiculous idea that any good that we do is solely for the purpose of whitewashing our “crimes.” But here, JVP has gone beyond this ridiculous idea to claim that we are falsely “presenting Palestinian, Arab and Muslim societies as intolerant.”
I guess I missed the memo that they are, in fact, tolerant societies. Or perhaps they are just not good at promoting this little-known aspect of their societies, because they have no use for “pinkwashing” themselves – they don’t have any human right abuses to cover up after all!
Update: Note the palestinian flag on the bottom left of the flier – it includes the entire land of Israel. Draw your own conclusions.
