WATCH: Israeli Soccer Player Shon Weissman’s Expression of Jewish Pride

This happened on Thursday evening: Israeli soccer player Shon Weissman, playing for Austrian club Wolfsberger AC, kicked the first goal of the game against German club Borussia Mönchengladbach in the European League.

He celebrated by running over to the stands, grabbing an Israeli flag, putting it over his head like a yarmulke and reciting the Shema.

What makes this even more poignant is he did this on German soil.
