Remember when palestinians were complaining how Facebook had removed and blocked some of their content?
That is so 3 weeks ago.
The Palestinian Authority decided to block 59 Palestinian and Arabic websites, including QNN websites, following a Magistrate’s Court decision.
The decision, which was made four days ago but was revealed on Monday, was met with anger by Palestinians, who deplored it, especially that not even one single Israeli website is among the 59 websites, which will be blocked.
Saleh Na’ami, Palestinian writer specialized in Israeli affairs, tweeted: “Of course, Abbas will block Arabi21 [website] and he would die to provide a platform for Zionist journalists, who adopt anti-Palestinian opinions and who did not hesitate even to criticize Abbas himself and the corruption of his authority. If you feel no shame, then do as you wish”.
Quds News Network have issued a press release. And they are apparently of the view that incitement to murder falls under “nternational standards on the freedom of speech.”
In a press release, Quds News Network (QNN) slammed the PA’s decision to block its website among other 59 Palestinian websites, claiming that they harm the Palestinian Authority and the civil peace.
QNN deplored the decision and said it “reflects the repression practiced against press”. It also stated that the decision is “an obvious violation of the international standards on the freedom of speech, which comes while the Palestinian content fights to survive from efforts by Israeli and social media platforms, which aim at eliminating it”.
Looking forward to eating some popcorn…as they eat themselves alive.
