As I have posted about already, anti-Israel DouchebloggerTM Richard Silverstein claimed Israel bombed Beirut, and then cherry picked some statements from various people to buttress his case.
To be clear: he has no proof, just the word of an “anonymous source” who says so. Or so he claims. Given Silverstein’s propensity to flat out lie in order to demonize Israel, the source might not even exist.
In a further blow to his already shot credibility Silverstein has now contradicted himself in his latest post.
In the four posts I’ve published on the Beirut tragedy, I’ve pieced together parts of the puzzle of the narrative reported to me by my source. Today, Israel HaYom offered another persuasive piece:
Just several months ago, Israel’s Mossad intelligence agency reportedly provided Germany with significant evidence of Hezbollah’s weapons storage, including ammonium nitrate. It was this information that led Germany to formally ban Hezbollah from operating in its country…Security experts have similarly indicated that it was an initial explosion of stockpiled weapons in an adjacent portside hangar that acted as the detonator for the large stockpile of ammonium nitrate.
But wait a minute. This is what Silverstein claimed in his first post on the subject:
Israel targeted a Hezbollah weapons depot at the port and planned to destroy it with an explosive device. Tragically, Israeli intelligence did not perform due diligence on its target. Thus they did not know (or if they did know, they didn’t care) that there were 2,700 tons of ammonium nitrate stored in a next-door warehouse. The explosion at the arms depot ignited the fertilizer, causing the catastrophe that resulted.
It is, of course, unconscionable that Israeli agents did not determine everything about their target including what was in its immediate vicinity. The tragedy Israel has wreaked is a war crime of immense magnitude.
In other words, Silverstein initially claimed Israel did not know there were 2,700 tons of ammonium nitrate stored in a next-door warehouse. He is now claiming not only did Israel know about the ammonium nitrate, but provided Germany with significant evidence of it.
If you argue that this does not mean Israel knew the munitions were stored next door, common sense has to prevail. Of course Israel knew where the munitions were. And Silverstein is anyway claiming we targeted the next door!
Silverstein is clearly making this up as he goes along. And those who already hate Israel and the Jewish people are fine with spreading this fake news because that’s what they do.
But those who are intellectually honest and approach things critically cannot possibly accept what Silverstein has alleged, as I have shown.
Silverstein is not interested in the truth, but primarily in damaging Israel’s reputation. He is also trying to feed his ego which, despite him being a failure at life, is inflated.
He is also trying to capitalize financially on his lies.
If you encounter anyone sharing Silverstein’s fake news, point them towards my posts eviscerating him and his so-called arguments.
