One of the reasons it is good to not solely rely on the mainstream media for your information, but also try to hear from actual people “on the ground”: you find positive messages like this.
Why as a Turkish guy do I love/support Israel and my thoughts on Hamas
The thing about Turkey and Turks Israelis should know is that more and more Turkish people are starting to support Israel in the conflict but the Turks that are more vocal are the racist and radical ones. This is the statement that I had to make because our two states should be much closer. So why do I love Israel?
Israel has more history with Turkey than any other nation. Ben Gurion graduated from Istanbul University. The second Prime Minister Moshe Sharett was an Ottoman First Lieutenant. How crazy is that?
Our two states share so much political goals and I see them as the only sane countries in the Middle East. Though Israel is much saner because of Erdogan.
Turkey was the first Muslim nation to recognize Israel.
It is high time for these nations to form a stronger bond for the stability in the Middle East. I would vote yes for a federation even. (I know pigs would fly sooner than that but I still wish it)
So what I think about Hamas? They are terrorists that push child soldiers to the frontlines and when they are killed Hamas uses it for propaganda. Two state solution should be done for peace. Israel shouldn’t be pressurized to care for millions of Arabs who want all the Jews dead or expelled. So Palestine should exist within the lands proposed by Netenyahu. Thank you if you’ve read this post. Would love to hear your ideas!
Stay safe
Yet another example of an ever-changing Middle East.
