Another Startling UN Admission: Majority of Gazans Killed in Recent IAF Strikes Were Terrorists
From the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA)’s Response to the escalation in the oPt | Situation Report No. 1 (21-27 May 2021), a startling admission about the recent casualties in Gaza:
No armed incident has been reported since the ceasefire entered into effect on 21 May, bringing to an end the hostilities between Israel and Palestinian armed groups in Gaza that began on 10 May. According to the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR), up to 27 May, 256 Palestinians, including 66 children and 40 women were killed, of whom 128 were believed to be civilians. Around 245, including 63 children, were seemingly killed by Israeli Defense Forces.
While the phrasing is in terms of how many civilians were killed, one can easily deduce from these statistics the following:
- 128 of the 256 palestinians allegedly killed were not civilians aka terrorists
- 11 of the 256 palestinians killed were not killed by Israel i.e. were killed by misfired Hamas rockets
We already know that at least 8 Gazan children were killed by Hamas rockets. Assuming the other 3 were also civilians, this would mean that according to these statistics, 117 civilians of 245 total were killed in IDF strikes. Conversely, 128 of the 245 killed in Israeli strikes were terrorists, or 52%.
This is a testament to the precision of the IAF strikes, as well as our warning civilians ahead of time and other measures to avoid as much as possible civilian casualties.
Remember, even these statistics may be based on information from the (Hamas) Gaza Health Ministry and other unreliable sources, so it is entirely possible an even greater number of those killed were terrorists and/or killed by misfired Hamas rockets. Actually, we know this for a fact, because as I wrote, we already know 8 Gazan children were killed by Hamas rockets, and not just 3 as these statistics suggest.
This is a stunning vindication of the IDF’s morality in conducting warfare…from the UN no less!
Maybe the Gazans will now protest for the OCHA to cease operations.
Update: Another interesting statistic to be derived from this: assuming all the women killed were civilians, then only 14 of the 117 civilians killed were male adults. This accords with my past analyses from other Gaza conflicts that adult males killed tend often to be terrorists.
