Google: No Such Thing as Arab War Crimes, Only Jewish Ones

A post by reader Darth Caustic

During a debate in which I was charged with nebulous, ill-defined “Israeli war crimes”, I decided to turn the tables a bit on my interlocutor, and googled “Arab war crimes” to show him that he really doesn’t have a leg to stand on: From Muhammad’s massacre of the Jewish tribes of Arabia to the genocides and in India and Africa, from the Arab Slave Trade to the Arabization of the Middle East and North Africa (complete with forced conversions, systemic oppression of non-Muslims and mass rape campaigns that continue to this day), from ISIS’ psychotic war against humanity to gassing in Iraq and Yemen, and suicide bombings against civilians and the worst excesses of the Syrian Civil War.

Imagine my surprise then when Google returned this lovely, squeaky clean result:

arab war crimes

Please note: every single result in the first page is about Israel, even though that wasn’t even part of my query, and the vast majority of them are either about Jewish war crimes (mostly fictionalized), or about how Arab did not commit any war crimes:

Despite their rhetoric, Arab armies committed few atrocities and no large-scale massacre of prisoners took place when circumstances might have allowed them

Yeah, the defenders of Kfar Etzion would beg to differ.

In any case, what does any of this have to do with the long, rich, and detailed history of war crimes and atrocities committed by Arabs throughout history? I wasn’t looking for information about Israel in particular, yet that’s all Google seems to be concerned with.
