Following their statement to me and others denying Rafaela Plasitra was ever the Greek representative for Miss Universe, Star GS Hellas – the organization responsible for selecting Miss Greece for the competition – has come out publicly to make it even clearer.
And it gets better (unless you Plastira and her fellow Israel-haters); they have posted links to numerous articles containing the same official statement by President Giegos Kouvaris – like the following:

It would be fair to say they are really pissed off this Israel-hating airhead tried to spoil their party. Now the real Miss Universe Greece gets to be in Israel – for Chanukah!
