The phrase “Next year in Jerusalem” is what Jews around the world sing each year at the end of the Passover seder and Yom Kippur. We have been singing this since the Middle Ages.
In other words, Nafal – who accuses us of cultural appropriation (even when we don’t) – is the cultural appropriator.
And this is not even the first time a hater has culturally appropriated something from Passover – and that includes Matzo ball soup.
*I had to look up Mansaf – it is a traditional Levantine dish made of lamb cooked in a sauce of fermented dried yogurt and served with rice or bulgur. I have never seen this in Israel, and it is not even kosher
