Antoinette Lattouf Questions Whether “Gas the Jews” Was Ever Chanted at Sydney Protest

One of the features (or rather bugs?) of the aftermath of Hamas’ October 7 atrocities has been the denialism we have seen, not just from blatant Jew-haters, but by the ‘Woke’ and those who otherwise see themselves as human rights activists – who at least try to hide their own antipathy towards Jews.

We saw it when they claimed Hamas did not murder Jews, but rather the IDF itself, despite the terrorists’ own GoPro footage and other damning proof.

We saw it when they claimed an Islamic Jihad rocket was not responsible for hitting near Al-Ahli hospital, but rather the IDF, despite proof it was the former.

We saw it when they claimed babies and others were not beheaded, despite testimonies from those who visited the scene of the crime.

And the list goes on.

One of the latest examples of this denialism comes from some Australian-Lebanese woman called Antoinette Lattouf, who describes herself as a “news personality”; she questions whether chants of “Gas the Jews” ever occurred at the Sydney protests.

Thankfully, others have already debunked this vile denialism. Like Sky News Australia’s Sharri Markson:

and the Australian Jewish Association:

Besides, why would it be so hard to believe that people protesting against Israel on October 10, just three days after the Hamas atrocities and well before we set foot back inside Gaza, would be antisemitic enough to chant “Gas the Jews”?

Heck, even Nasser Mashni admitted some were involved in such chants (although he did try to downplay the number):

Meanwhile, Lattouf has responded to Sharri’s segment by digging herself a deeper hole.

Notice the sleight of hand. She claims she never denied there were chants of “Gas the Jews”, but then contradicts herself by again claiming the chants could not be verified. Furthermore, while she tries to paint herself as just an objective journalist trying to get to the bottom of things, her attempted attack on Sharri’s objectivity because she is a Zionist betrays her agenda. Besides, Lattouf is Lebanese in origin and makes it very clear from even her first video whose side she is on, so two can play this game (For more on her “objectivity”, see here and here).

Note also how Lattouf tries to paint herself as denouncing antisemitism. Again, she is speaking out of both sides of her mouth:

Updates:

15/12/23 8:36: I have been informed police haven’t requested the videos from AJA, contrary to Lattouf’s claim.
