Jews around the world are up in arms over the Louis Vuitton Patch T-Shirt.
Is this @LouisVuitton T-shirt really meant to show support for the so-called "Palestinian cause"? My thoughts here: https://t.co/QCfIvVkuiQ pic.twitter.com/AW0dY7nEJD

No, not because it retails at $820 (which is in itself a crime against humanity), but because of the design of the logo: the colors are distinctly palestinian, and the “v” looks very much like a watermelon (the adopted symbol of the so-called “palestinian cause”). Some even argue the “v” looks like the Hamas inverted triangle, also used by many haters online.

As someone who does not automatically ascribe bad intentions unless there is proof or something stronger than mere resemblance, the similarities here are really hard to overlook. The coincidence is too strong, and when considering the timing, I find it really hard to believe this was just an innocent mistake.
Let’s be real. The only thing that would have made it even more obvious would be to have a Hadid modelling it.

Back in 2021, Louis Vuitton earned the ire of the Israel-hater crowd, who accused them of cultural appropriation with this keffiyeh design:

Perhaps the keffiyeh design was an actual expression of support for the so-called ‘palestinian cause’ even back then.
Not that this would be the first time in history Louis Vuitton has sided with those preoccupied with murdering Jews.
Meanwhile, I am glad that the Israel-haters are recognizing the shirt as a show of support. I hope they blow $820 on it.
And yes, some of them are the types to do so.

19/3/24 16:20: A well informed source in Paris tells me this IS a really unfortunate coincidence. The t-shirt design and production occurred well before October 7, and was meant to reflect a 1980s theme. Having said that, I am told the company is taking the concerns seriously and knows they need to implement a lessons learned
