Things seem to be going downhill for goblin Greta Thunberg and her merry band of misfits.
Following the ‘Israeli drone strike’ that never was, there is now apparently discontent on board, with goblin Greta Thunberg leaving the Flotilla’s board.
Greta Thunberg is leaving the Flotilla’s board and transferring from the “Family” ship to the Alma.
Il Manifesto’s correspondent aboard the Sumud Flotilla, Lorenzo D’Agostino, reports: “On Sunday afternoon,” the reporter writes, “the participants watched Greta Thunberg drag her suitcase along the dock, leave the Family, the ship hosting the organizing committee, and transfer to the Alma.
On the mission’s official website, her name has disappeared from the list of board members. According to sources consulted by il manifesto, the disagreements are linked to communication that focuses too much on the flotilla’s internal affairs and not enough on the genocide in Palestine.”
Thunberg, D’Agostino reports, said she “deeply believes in the goal of this mission and in the power of the global mobilization for a free Palestine.”
And, in a statement released to il manifesto, she added: “We all have a role: mine will not be on the board, but as an organizer and participant.”
The other steering committee members contacted by Il Manifesto declined to comment. “However, it’s clear that measures have been taken to correct the communication mix,” the communist newspaper’s correspondent writes.
“Communication that focuses too much on the flotilla’s internal affairs” is quite vague, but there is talk that this fellow participant’s videos are an embarassment to Greta:

Does this really look like they are doing this for the “poor people of Gaza”?
No, I’m pretty sure they are doing for their own ego and for attention.

There is also a report that it might be one of the other participants:
“In the evening, journalist and influencer Yusuf Omar announced on Instagram that he was abandoning the platform for ‘communication strategy’ reasons. His sensationalist style, heavily focused on well-known faces from the mission, had infuriated several participants. His alarmist coverage of the drone attack was the straw that broke the camel’s back.”
Characterizing coverage of the so-called drone attack as “alarmist” seems to be an admission it was not a drone attack but rather caused by the flotilla participants or crew themselves.
Either way, between phantom drones, clashing egos, and a comms strategy held together with duct tape, the Sumud Flotilla resembles a bad reality-TV spinoff.
