  1. I cannot help but think that the intrusive levels of police surveillance she advocates here, would be a platform she’d oppose vociferously if not for the fact that in this specific case she can use it to whitewash Islamic terrorism.
    “Do you want a highly increased police presence in Islamic neighborhoods to seek out and apprehend violent extremists?”
    “Do you want a highly increased police presence in Islamic neighborhoods to seek out and apprehend drug pushers and users?”

    I cannot speak for Lauren Booth, but the line toed by most Islamicist apologists would fume at the first suggestion, or at the idea of any notion that Muslim communities need to be monitored. But suddenly it’s a convenient excuse so…
