Tuesday Night Comedy Gold

I am coming off a day-long fast, so I really appreciated this laugh:

Hamas condemned on Tuesday the seizure of the French yacht Dignite-Al Karame , with its spokesman Ismail Rudwan describing it as “piracy, a war crime and a violation of the principles of human rights.”

Bonus humor: This is how Hamas reported today’s peaceful boarding of the boat on their website:

Israeli occupation navy forces attacked the French Flotilla “Dignity” heading to the blockaded Gaza Strip on Tuesday, July 19th, 2011.

Israeli navy forces have attacked the French humanitarian aid flotilla which was headed to the Gaza Strip coast carrying an essential humanitarian supplies  to the besieged people of Gaza.

One of the activists told the Navy that the ship carries peace activists and humanitarian supplies, and that there are 13 activists onboard in addition to the three crew members. He also told the Navy that the ship is determined to continue its sail to Gaza.

As the peace activists on the French humanitarian aid flotilla refused the arrogant  demands of the Israeli occupation navy forces, the latest started attacking the flotilla in a savage way using violence to terrorize activists onboard the ship.

Besides the obvious lie about a violent attack against the ship, Hamas seemingly also ignored the statements by their flotilla allies, in which they admitted the voyage is not about delivering “essential humanitarian supplies.” Heck, they even declined such an offer from Greece.

Meanwhile, these great defenders of human rights used this picture to accompany the above report:

Hey, it works for UN representatives.
