I was only in an Israeli military prison once, when I attended a session of Palmer trial.

As visitors we went through multiple layers of security to get through this door.

Machane Ofer was where the court session was held.

To anyone growing up outside of Israel,

the word machane brings back memories of summer camp.

How could an Israeli military prison be called camp?
