Not Many Can Hold a Candle to IfNotNow’s Ignorance of Judaism

IfNotNow would like everyone to believe they are proud Jews. Which is why they constantly co-opt Jewish religious practices and festivals to further their agenda.

Except they are doing it all wrong.

The Havdalah ceremony can only be performed after Shabbat ends on Saturday night after the appearance of three stars in the sky. As you can see from the video, this was performed during the day, on Shabbat no less. In fact, they broke Shabbat.

Hardly the way to “show up with pride in their Jewishness.” Jew-ish-ness perhaps.

And this is not even the first time they have shown their ignorance of Judaism.

Remember the time they staged a sit-in at Berkeley Hillel, not realizing no-one was there due to members observing a Jewish holiday?

And remember the time they admitted “Judea and Samaria” are ancient Judaic names for “West Bank”, yet accused those of using them of erasing (subsequent) palestinian history?

It is as if they are competing with Jewish Voice for Peace for who are the bigger ignoramuses about Judaism.

Update: These “proud Jews” want no military aid to Israel, period, and no police protection for US Jews.
