On Sunday, palestinian Arab Muntasir Shalabi shot three young seminary students in a drive-by shooting attack at a bus stop at the Tapuah Junction in the so-called West Bank. The shooting of these innocent young men led to some Jewish residents of the area to engage in retaliatory actions like storming a palestinian Arab village, where they threw rocks and stun grenades and started fires. It is in this context that B’tselem and others immediately pointed the finger at them for starting the fire at Burin, a fire that seems to have been started by palestinian Arabs.
19-year-old Yehuda Guetta z”l, one of the boys shot, has succumbed to his wounds. He had been shot in the head. One of the others shot, Benaya Peretz, was shot in the back, and remains in very serious condition, while Amichai Hala, the third boy shot, has thankfully been released from the hospital to recover from his wounds at home.
As I mentioned, these boys were seminary students. They were not soldiers as the haters have claimed (not that this would justify their shooting either). This means they sat in a Yeshiva all day and learned Torah texts, something to enhance their spirituality and good deeds in the world.
Hours after Yehuda Guetta’s death was reported – and days after the shooting of the boys, some of your elected congresswomen commented on the violence in Israel.
Not a word over this cold-blooded execution. By a murderer who was also reportedly a US citizen, no less. Think about that for a second. They made a conscious choice to say “nothing to see here, move along.” Perhaps they even think the terrorist did the right thing.
As for their bestie Linda Sarsour, did you expect any less?
We already knew these people are hateful and depraved. I am just shedding light more on just how hateful and depraved they truly are.
