Back in 2017, Aussie singer Nick Cave announced a summer tour of Israel. He ended up performing – while showing much love for Israel and her people – even thanking BDS for making him more determined to do so.
Naturally, this was all too much for ol’ Roger Waters, who sniped at Nick.
Since then, Nick has occasionally taken shots at BDS, famously calling it “cowardly and shameful.. antisemitic at heart” while also delightfully mocking Waters for good measure. Of course, Waters has not been able to keep his piehole shut about Nick, who has even returned to Israel to perform.
In the latest chapter of this feud, Nick recently spoke about his opposition to Waters and BDS with Nick Gillespie of Reason, but not before speaking about how he has a particular antipathy towards antisemitism:
While I don’t agree with Nick about the Israeli government, I agree with most of what he says, and especially appreciated him saying Waters “is deeply damaging to the boycott movement. It’s embarrassing.”
In fact, everything about Waters is embarrassing.
Besides, he certainly pissed off the clearly pissed (and pissed) Roger!

It’s ok to be wrong mate.
Obviously you not opposing Genocide is a biggy?
But hey! Nobody’s perfect?
Just say you’re sorry.
Not to me and @brianeno, we don’t give a fuck.
No, say you’re sorry to the Palestinians.
Join BDS and we’ll let bygones be bygones.… pic.twitter.com/73K9LBP6wU
Watching the unhinged Waters react to the measured and articulate Cave reminds me of this iconic scene from an equally iconic movie:
It is truly a pleasure to observe Nick Cave handling this very bad seed.
