Regular readers and people generally paying attention will understand that the strange alliance between the far Left and Islamists can be explained by the neo Marxist ideology of the former, which sees the perceived more successful, powerful party as the “oppressor” and the perceived weaker party as the “oppressed.” Through this prism, Israel and indeed the US and the West – are the evil oppressors worthy of destruction, while their “colonized” victims must be supported and enabled in their attempts to take over and win back what is “rightfully theirs.”
So truth be told, there is nothing really surprising in the new report by the indefatigable Canary Mission titled the Palestinian War on America, which focuses on the agenda of certain Hamas-supporting organizations to not just destroy Israel but destroy America – given their primary goal is to undermine the United States and Western ideology. But that doesn’t take away from its disturbing nature nor the importance of spreading it far and wide.
The report focuses on what happened at the “People’s Conference for Palestine,” held in Detroit, Michigan, May 24-26, 2024, where over 100 organizations and 3,000 participants gathered to make concrete plans for anti-American action. The key players behind this conference are the same ones behind the the disruptions that have plagued universities and public spaces over the past year.
The fifteen organizations comprising the steering committee of the Conference included some I have either mentioned or exposed comprehensively before: The Palestinian Youth Movement (PYM), National Students for Justice in Palestine (NSJP), The US Palestinian Community Network, Al-Awda, the Palestine Right to Return Coalition, US Campaign for Palestinian Rights, Arab Resource and Organizing Center, International Jewish anti-Zionist Network, Palestinian American Women’s Association, and The National Alliance against Racist and Political Repression. The same can be said for some of those among the 300 anti-Israel organizations endorsing the conference, which included multiple Students for Justice in Palestine chapters, American Muslims for Palestine, JVP, and Samidoun (the latter about to be sanctioned by the US and Canada for fundraising for the PFLP terrorist organization).
Even more disturbing (yet also not surprising): Rashida Tlaib spoke at the conference, as did Jeremy Corbyn via a pre-recorded video.
I won’t give it all away in this post since Canary Mission have already meticulously documented it all, including the terror support, anti-American rhetoric, and open advocacy for the destruction of the West on display at the conference. But I will give you a taste of it:
