Roger Waters Disgraces Himself With Attack On Bon Jovi

With Bon Jovi touching down in Israel for tomorrow night’s highly anticipated concert, after lead singer Jon said Roger Waters’ BDS campaign “does not interest him” – Waters has gone on the offensive. While being offensive.

Dear Jon Bon Jovi, David Bryan, and Tico Torres,

Often in the past I havewritten detailed, and sometimes even persuasive, letters to colleagues in the music business, encouraging them not to give succor to the Israeli government’s apartheid policies by performing in Israel. Having read Jon’s comments last week in Yedioth Ahronoth, I won’t waste my time drawing parallels with Apartheid South Africa and the moral stand that so many artists took then and that thousands are taking now in the face of decades of Israeli oppression of Palestinians.

So the die is cast, you are determined to proceed with your gig in Tel Aviv on October 3. You are making your stand.

You stand shoulder to shoulder

With the settler who burned the baby

With the bulldozer driver who crushed Rachel Corrie

With the soldier who shot the soccer player’s feet to bits

With the sailor who shelled the boys on the beach

Leaving aside the following for a second..

  • There is still no-one charged with the burning of the baby, but the act was widely condemned by Israeli society and the government
  • Rachel Corrie, as part of the ISM, was aiding terrorists and trying to undermine Israel’s security. In any event, her death was found to be an accident.
  • About those soccer players
  • The boys on the beach tragedy was found to be an accident. Some even lay down a case that Hamas killed them. In any event, Hamas is culpable for attacking Israel, and encouraging young people to act as human shields (Israeli parents had their kids in bomb shelters during rocket fire, not out playing soccer)

..Waters has published this rant the very same day this was happening:

.
6 young children burying their parents, who were deliberately murdered by palestinian terrorists last night.

Of course, to Waters, this was probably either justified or at least understandable.

I would like to think Bon Jovi stands shoulder-to-shoulder with Israelis who just want to enjoy their music, while trying to put behind last night’s deplorable murder and, in fact, decades of unrelenting terrorism.

On the other hand, Roger Waters stands shoulder-to-shoulder with terrorists and murderers.

  1. Why do you publish Waters? It gives him what he he desperately wants and needs. He is a has been. No one pays him much attention but you. You tripple his readership every time you publish his porngraphic drivile here

      1. Is it your intention to give this geriatric has been a forum for his senile stupidity? Let him have his reflected gory glory then. Pink Floyd must have been tremendous for you back in the day.
It would be better to see the better members of pink floyd are doing than this creep though.

        1. I work hours on this site, without pay. I do not recall a comment from you before, and all you can do is whine I should not post this?

I need not justify why I post about the Israel and Jew haters. Work it out.

          1. You do a great job but give this guy some slack, his made plenty of comments,we are all worth our opinion…….keep up with the input its worth every kilo, THANKS!!!!

          2. I am a reader but only very occasional poster to this site. I am very appreciative of all the work you do in maintaining it. Clearly, you can run it however you want to.

I share Steven Demonnin’s opinion that when you publicize foolish anti-semitic remarks by people like Roger Waters or Richard Silverstein it broadcasts their messages more widely than would otherwise have been the case and may actually encourage them by giving them the attention that they may be seeking.

            1. Thank you. But I disagree. By shining a light on the lies, I believe I can influence those who would otherwise give weight to his comments.
