I’m now preparing for the Jewish New Year, Rosh Hashana, which means you won’t be hearing from me for a couple of days.

I would like to take this opportunity to wish my readers  a happy, healthy and prosperous year.

Hamas security forces released 35 people on Sunday, including five senior leaders of President Mahmoud Abbas’ Fatah movement. Hamas said the releases were in order to help the Egyptian-mediated reconciliation talks succeed, and to mark the Muslim holiday of Eid el-Fitr.

It sinks boats…or does it?

Shots were fired by the Israeli military on Gazan fishermen of the Rafah shore on Sunday afternoon, sinking the fishing boat and endangering the lives of those aboard.

According to the de facto ministry of agriculture the sinking vessel and its operators were rescued by nearby boats. Omar Al-Habeel, the owner of the boat, said it was cracked down the side, but rescued from sinking.

Incidentally, the above Ma’an News article is titled: Gazan fiserman’s boat sunk by Israeli fire in local waters.

Yeah, it says fiserman.

Hollywood actor, philanthropist, and all-round nice guy Paul Newman, who passed away a few days ago, was so well respected, that even the bad guys marked his death.

Even conservative Muslim Iran, which would not usually concern itself with reporting on a Western film star, marked his death. Two pro-reform newspapers displayed the actor on front pages while Iran’s state media also reported his death.

The Etemad newspaper, published Newman’s picture, saying “Fading away the last classic star” and the Kargozaran daily said “End of the blue-eyed boy.”

I’m guessing they never saw Exodus, nor read this Time Magazine article:

Our latest podcast is out and, even though I’m not hosting, I do appear with a short piece talking about the Paul McCartney concert in Tel Aviv.

Meryl Yourish also has a tremendous piece comparing side by side the speech given by Ahmadinejad at the UN and speeches and writing of Hitler. It’s a simple case of search for Jew, replace with Zionist. Sick stuff and the world clapped and kissed him on both cheeks.

The feautre interview is with Rusty Shackleford of My Pet Jawa who has been doing the kind of digging that the main stream media should be doing. And would be doing except that the story is about the Chosen One.

Gabbyspoppy at Pro-Semite Undercover has seemingly set off anti-Israel blogger Richard Silverstein with some comments that include this:

He [Silverstein] also has for sale his photography (which mostly consists of pictures of his kids) cornering the pedophile market. But what the heck, a dollar is a dollar.

Silverstein’s response to this is predictable. He tries to turn it around, suggesting that the pedophilia reference would seem to suggest Gabbyspoppy’s predilection for it.

I am not stupid enough to suggest Richard Silverstein - as loathsome as his views and his treatment of people with whom he disagrees are - is a pedophile. But I do find it offputting that he would be offering for sale personal pictures - including those of his children - given the very real risk that pedophiles could purchase them.

I think Gabbyspoppy has a point. Silverstein does seem to be putting his pursuit of money ahead of the welfare of his family.

Introducing our latest weapon: Zionist Orange Uniforms of Death.^TM

The supreme committee of Hamas captives in Zionist jails has rejected on Thursday the decision of the Zionist prison authority (IPA) of changing the brown uniform of the captives to orange.

In a statement it issued and a copy of which was obtained by the PIC, the committee explained that the orange uniform would produce adverse psychological repercussions on the prisoners because it is known to be the uniform of those sentenced to death, and it would replicate the picture of the captives in the infamous US concentration camp in Guantanamu.

“A number of Zionist politicians had repeatedly insisted that the Palestinian prisoners in Zionist jails must be regarded and dealt with as “terrorists”, and not as political prisoners or prisoners of war and freedom fighters”, the statement pointed out.

Moreover, the committee warned if the decision is implemented, it would waste many of the legal rights of the Palestinian and Arab captives that were obtained through precious sacrifices.

“The uniform replicates the uniform the Jewish prisoners used to wear in the Nazi concentration camps [during WWII], and bears the same sign of the old one indicating that anyone wears the uniform would be liquidated” (Actually, Jews wore blue and gray striped prison uniforms in the concentration camps - ed.)

Furthermore, the committee disclosed that the uniform bears two phosphoric reflector lines at the back, chest, and the two legs that would make the captives an easy target to Zionist snipers at night.

Ingenious, aren’t we? Capture palestinians, place them in prison and then sniper-shoot them at night. Because just killing them to begin with would just be too simple.

In any event, I would actually agree with Hamas that brown would be the more appropriate color. After all, they are full of sh*t.

Colin Farrell is reportedly abandoning his Catholic faith to convert to Judaism for new girlfriend Emma Forrest.

The actor, 32, has been dating British novelist Forrest since June, but the romance appears to be turning serious.

The couple attended a West Hollywood party for Heeb magazine at MBar earlier this month, where Farrell was seen wearing a chain with a Star of David pendant around his neck, according to the New York Post’s Page Six.

A source adds that Forrest was seen doing “a striptease burlesque act to traditional Jewish music”.

A few days ago, I posted how the daughter of radical Islamic cleric Omar Bakri Mohammed is reportedly a pole dancer. At the time, the article was accompanied by a picture of our hairy terrorist friend wearing something that looked very Jedi-like (but has now been replaced by another picture of Mohammed, as well as a really risque picture of his pole-loving daughter). Not only that, but Obi Mohammed could be a shorthand way of saying Omar Bakri Mohammed.

Now I see the article has been extended, including this paragraph:

Perhaps predictably Bakri, now exiled to Lebanon, dismissed the news as a ‘ fabrication’ and described it as an attack on him and Islam.

‘The more you put pressure on me, the stronger I become. Islam will conquer Britain,’ he said.

Freaky.

Question: What do you get when you cross two violent Bedouins and an IDF pilot proficient in hand-to-hand combat?

Answer: An opened can of woop ass.

While driving to his base Thursday morning, an F-16 pilot was harassed by two Bedouins - an incident that ended badly for the Bedouins, Yedioth Ahronoth reported.

Around 8:30 am, while the pilot was traveling to the Nevatim army base near the town of Arad, two cars driven by two Bedouins approached the pilot’s car. One Bedouin drove passed the pilot at high speed and then stopped abruptly. Later, the two Bedouins attempted to force the pilot’s car to the side of the road. During this entire incident, the pilot was signaling to the other drivers that they were behaving dangerously and that he would not take part in this game.

At one point the Bedouins managed to forced the pilot to stop the car at the side of the road. They subsequently approached his car with bats.

When the pilot got out of his car, one of the Bedouins attempted to slap him. Unfortunately for the attackers, it turned out that the pilot is not only proficient in flying aircraft, but also in hand-to-hand combat. After a short struggle, both Bedouins were on the ground, moaning in pain.

As the pilot arrived at the Nevatim army base, he reported the incident to his commanding officer, who informed police. When police officers arrived at the scene, both Bedouins were not there, supposedly carried off by their friends. According to information acquired by police, the two were badly beaten up.

The Negev District Police said that the incident is being investigated and that efforts are underway to locate the two attackers.

Ma’an, as well as the rest of the PalArab media, reports:

Israeli settlers executed an 18-year-old shepherd boy in the fields outside Aqraba, a town in the Nablus district of the northern West Bank.

Village municipal affairs representative Ghassan Douglas identified the young man as Yahya Atta Riahin. Douglas said that a gang of Israeli settlers from Itamar settlement shot the boy at least 20 times at close range.

Yahya did not return home with his sheep for the fast-breaking meal, Iftar. His family alerted the neighbors and the whole village organized a search party to look for the missing boy.

His body was found in fields between the illegal Israeli settlement of Itamar and the villages of Aqraba and Awarta.

According to Douglas, eyewitnesses reported seeing a white vehicle driven by Israeli settlers stop, chase down the boy and shot him directly.

We have here a story that only exists in the Palestinian Arab press and its veracity depends on a politician who claims that eyewitnesses saw it. (Some of the Arabic press is more lurid, claiming that the settlers beheaded the victim.)

None of the Israeli media has picked up on this story nor has any wire service.

Besides the fact that it is highly implausible that a carful of settlers was driving around just to kill a random Arab shepherd for no reason, there is another problem with this story: it supposedly happened on the Jewish Sabbath.

It had to have happened before the Sabbath was over, because the dead youth would have made sure to make it home to his family at the moment of the Iftar meal during Ramadan which would be roughly the same time that Shabbat is over.

So now we are supposed to believe that not only were settlers driving around and randomly murdering Palestinian Arabs, but that these supposed religious fanatics were violating the Sabbath to do that?

Sorry, but chances are more likely that the victim was shot by other Arabs, or something completely different happened. As it is, the accusations seem to be just another of a long series of lies.
